The Fiji National Women team has just completed a 10 day intensive training programme in Sydney. Playing games against Sutherland FC, Koalas FC, Belconnen FC (ACT) and Macarthur Rams FC proved a great challenge.
Special guest former Matilda’s Coach Hesterine De Reus conducted a training session combining the Fiji players with local girls from the Nepean U17 Premier League.
Fiji is preparing for the Pacific Games next month and Head Coach Charlene Lockington was full of praise for the facilities on offer and that the team could concentrate on football everyday. It is the first time the Fiji Women team have had an international training camp and the benefits will be enormous.
